This girl is on fire.

Hello Friends! I know it feels like forever since I last wrote, and it has really been, but I'M BACK and oh boy do I have a lot to share!

I shall begin with the crazy shenanigans of last night. Allow me to set the scene, it was just another casual evening in the NunesWise residence. We had just finished a delicious meal, Jenny made a healthy creamy pasta using carrot slaw, I whipped together a glorious salad with homemade croutons. We turned on Breaking Bad, season four episode like five or six, now for those of you who don't watch Breaking bad you need to understand something. This show is about the manufacturing of meth and all that comes with it, sooooo it's a definitely scary and we watch this show on the edge of our seat. Right as something scary is happening on the show like...

Outside of our kitchen window we hear and see...

Our immediate reaction was...

The transformer box right outside of our apartment has exploded...literally right outside the window in our kitchen. The events that followed involved our sweet little kitties running for cover under our beds, Jenny got really brave and decided to run over to the window, only for it to spark again causing her to duck and cover in the kitchen. All the power in our half of the building was out, air conditioning included. We went outside to see what was happening and our neighbors kept asking if we were okay, physically yes, mentally we'll never be the same. Someone had called the fire department to come down and take a look at it, this is when I scored this gem of a photo.

Needless to say last night a grown up lesson was learned, be prepared for exploding transformers.

In other news today I purchased my very first Kate Spade product, I am now a real woman. I scored this sweet little ring on a surprise sale! That's right ladies I said Kate Spade is currently having a surprise sale. I can't even wait for it to arrive!

Another awesome little update I have is that about a month ago I shot a Funny or Die sketch with Gerard Butler! I knew that I was booked to work background for a Funny or Die sketch but it was not until I was on set looking at the call sheet that I realized exactly who I would be working with, swoon. Here is the link to the sketch, it's pretty silly.

Now saving the best for last I must talk about my roommates new website! So my roommate Jenny is also my best friend, the big sister I never had, and my role model. We met at the most glorious theatre camp in the world, where I really looked up to her and was inspired by her outlook on life. Kate Spade, studio yogurt, and sweet potato fries, are just a few of the things that she's introduced me to since we've lived together! Well she has just started up a website for teenage girls called wise sister this is a place for teenage girls to get advice that will enrich their lives with more than tips on how to make out properly. She talks about nutrition, tell it like it is, be cultured, and inspiration. Young ladies go check this out right now, you'll be happy you did!

Well that's all the updates for now, I've gotta go film a few audition tapes now! I promise I'll write again soon!

XO,
Ashley

P.S. The kitties say make good choices, say no to drugs.

Sweets, Food, and Jenifer Lawrence..

To all of you negative Nellie's who can't just be happy on Valentine's day I would like to remind you that Valentine's day is not just about having a boyfriend or a girlfriend to share it with. It's about being with anyone and everyone that you love! Yesterday I had a lovely day with my roommate and some single lady friends Sarah and Belinda. We all enjoyed some delicious Italian food from Pinocchio's and an assortment of scrumptious treats!

Speaking of sweet treats I must tell you about my new found love for an adorable, and dangerously close to the apartment, cupcake shop! It's called Yummy cupcakes and it's PINK inside!! They offer a different assortment of cupcakes everyday, they also have cupcakes in a jar, cute little mason jars! So far I've had the red velvet, apple pie, and a sampling of these sweet flavors!

This place is a for sure to-do when you're in Burbank!

Well I'll go ahead and keep the theme of food going with my new obsession of my crock pot. Do you have one? You should, it's genius! You just wake, put a bunch of food into the crock pot, let it cook all day and voila dinner is served right when you come home. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that it makes your home or apartment smell divine! Last week I made Chicken tortilla soup in our crock pot, it was mostly chicken soup though because we hardly used any tortilla's. It turned out just like this...

Like I said, not a scrap of tortilla's.

Now moving off the topic of food, although I could talk about it all day if you'd let me. I got to film an Oscars related bit for the show Extra! This whole thing was through David's Bridal, as if I didn't love my job enough. Basically it's a bit about what all the stars would look good in for the Oscars! I was a model for it and my looks were for Jenifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain, two women whose talents I admire greatly! The show will air the week of the Oscars, I'll be sure to update you with all the details!

Well I feel like we covered a lot of ground today folks, I shall now leave you with this gif of the lovely and talented Jenifer Lawrence..

XO,
Ashley

Just another Manic Monday...

Mondays, the most dreaded day of the week, however I like to make mine as productive as I possibly can. My day begun with a trip to the gym, go me! It was followed by a glorious shower, some delicious oatmeal, and about half of my to-do list is now complete! Take that Monday! I'll also be going to work later and then baking some delicious Lemon bars with my baking partner in crime Jenny.

I'm sure ours look will look just as fabulous, if not more fabulous.
So another event that I must discuss on my blog today is my unfortunate car break in from last week. Yes, you read that right, my car was broken into. Now I realize that this is something that happens to a lot of people and it's nothing personal but that doesn't make it any less shitty. The car thieves took my navigation system (which was in my center consul, not in plain sight). They also popped my trunk and took a blender that my mom gave me from Christmas that I had still not taken out of my trunk, (which I realize should've been taken out of my car months ago). So I called the police and they came and finger printed my car, then the window repair people arrived and kindly vacuumed up all the broken glass and installed a new window for me. What a morning...at least I got this awesome picture with a police officer out of it!

Another thing that must be addressed today, Beyonce's Superbowl performance. First of all if I could be blessed with half of her fierce woman powers I would be forever happy. Second of all hearing Destiny's Child again reminded me of my mom, sister, and I all dancing to their music is the car at stop lights. However aside from all that she was just so incredible, man, her strut alone has more power than all the Victoria's secret model's runway struts combined. I'm just saying. Also that hair, every single time she whips it around I'm thinking, "Woah don't mess it up," but have no fear, Beyonce's hair will always return to it's natural state of being....fabulous.
Now on a more serious note, Breaking Bad. (Insert that noise that people make when they want it to sound like something just blew their mind) I watched the first episode yesterday, it was awesome. I realize that I'm a bit late jumping onto this bandwagon, but hey at least I made it. There's so much at stake for everyone involved in the story, it's amazing to see everything unfold! I highly recommend it, in fact I'm going to bring this post to an end so that you can log onto netflix and begin watching!
Well I can't let you go without a cat picture first...
Your heart just melted didn't it?

Enjoy the rest of you Manic Monday,
Ashley

The SAG Awards Experiance...

As all of you who religiously read my blog, follow me on instagram, or are friends with me on facebook know, I went to the SAG Awards yesterday! Man oh man it was one inspiring experience. I sat on the bleachers on the red carpet with Jenny's and now also my friend Johnny! The people sitting in front of us said that our commentary was hilarious and that we could be the new hosts of E! I couldn't agree more.
Ladies and gentleman Ashley Nunes and Johnny McKay
This was an amazing, crazy, wild, inspiring day! First we arrived at the USC parking structure around noon and we waited for them to shuttle us over to the Shrine Auditorium where the awards show was going to take place. Once we arrived we went through a very strict security screening, metal detectors galore! Then we were given some sweet goody bags with a water bottle, an issue of People magazine, mascara, lip gloss, and most importantly a bag of kettle corn. This was the most important part because as usual I forgot to prepare some kind of snackage not remembering that I was going to be there for a solid five hours. However once the celebrities started arriving my hunger was the last thing on my mind. Wow...okay so let's start with how beautiful everyone was. Those men are the red carpet were MEN. Tall, handsome, built, well dressed, well groomed. *Pardon me while I swoon* Let's not forget to mention all the beautiful women! They inspired me to stop eating crap and start running more...or at all...it's a process but we'll get there. Here's an example of just a few of the lovely ladies I saw.
Julianne Moore was like, "I'm sorry I can't come sign autographs I have to wait in line to be photographed."
Jennifer Garner has been one of my female idols since I was a child and 13 Going on 30 was released.
Ellie Kemper is a new actress idol I have, and she looked stunning in this dress!!
I will now share some hilarious stories from my time on the other side of the red carpet. First of all I must tell you about the three wonderful crying 12 year olds that were in front of us. THEY WERE THE BEST! Any time a celebrity would look over and see them crying the girls would just call their names and they HAD to rush over and sign autographs and take pictures with them! Thanks to these little girls I got a lot of wonderfully close celeb photos...

These are all good...but none of them could beat the fabulous photo I got of Darren Criss...

Thank you screaming crying girls. You rock.

Another hilarious red carpet moment was when Justin Timberlake arrived. My initial thought was, "Oh my god, this is like when I saw Britney Spears, my entire childhood is flashing before my eyes." Then before I could even begin to remember how fabulous it was that Jessica Biel wore a pink wedding dress on their big day. The woman next to Johnny and I exploded with, "IT'S JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE!!!!! OH MY GOD!!! JUSSSTTIIIIIIINNNNN COME HERE!!!" We couldn't help but burst into laughter, the best part of this is that it continued until Justin was right in front of us. Now some sad news, that woman did not get an autograph from Justin...but you bet those crying little girls in the front who weren't even an idea when NSYNC was around sure did.

More red carpet photos as I transition to another story.

An even funnier red carpet moment is when we tricked everyone into thinking that Spencer was a celebrity. Spencer is another friend of Jenny's who was lucky enough to be a PA for the day and have red carpet access yesterday. As he walked by on the red carpet yesterday Johnny and I began screaming, "OH MY GOD IT'S SPENCER SMITH!!!" Then everyone, kid you not, everyone began snapping photos of him as if he was the up and coming star on Glee. One woman actually yelled, "I GOT IT! I GOT THE PICTURE!!"

I snagged this great photo of him!

The rest of the time Johnny and I plotted about how we were going to make our way to the red carpet next year, not sitting in the bleachers. We're thinking we got there because of a series that we star in which was picked up by hmmmm let's say Fox for now. It begun as a webseries that Jenny, Johnny, and I wrote, starred in, directed, and produced. Lena Dunham and Mindy Kaling style. Then every single network wanted to have it but we had to be very selective with who we went with. Then Fox gave us the funds to make the amazing show we have which is now nominated for best comedy series. We also made a pact to stop and wipe the tears of any crying little girls, it's only right.

Now I will post the rest of my red carpet photos for those of you who didn't see them on my instagram yesterday. I would like you to imagine some beautiful slow montage music in the background and you should scroll in slow motion.

Yeah I picstiched it together there's only two, that's why I told you to scroll in slow motion.

Well I shall now leave you to ponder who was best dressed,
Ashley

The Los Angeles Juice Cleanse

Juice cleanses, fasting, being a vegan, or a vegetarian, diet after diet. Los Angeles is notorious for tiny women and men who don't eat anything because of the industry. I however am not one of those women, I live across the street from Porto's bakery and I can't resist going at least once a week to get something heavenly like a chocolate croissant! On Monday my roommate and I began Dr. Oz's three day juice cleanse. The thing about Jenny and I cleansing is that we're both Portuguese women who need actual food to survive, not a bunch of vegetables blended together to make a so called "smoothie." We're determined women and all of that but when it comes to pounding headaches and fainting spells we call it quits for some real food. So our juice cleanse lasted until last night when we gave in for some sweet potatoes and artichokes! Eating food last night was beautiful, Jenny described it as, "Us renewing our vows with food!"

Another wonderful thing in my life right now is that I will be attending the SAG Awards this year!! My fabulous roommate is the executive assistant for Jeff Margolis Productions, he is the producer and director of the SAG Awards. So thanks to my roommate this Sunday I will be sitting in the bleachers on the red carpet! I will be across the way from Access Hollywood's camera set up, so I will pretty much see everyone because the stars are morally obligated to stop and be interview by Giuliana Rancic! I couldn't be more excited, it's going to be an amazing to see my future flash before my eyes, I'm going to have to resist my Charlie's Angels happy dance.

In other news I have acquired yet another job, that's right I am now at a total of four jobs. I am a bridal consultant for David's Bridal, sales associate at Gap, weekend party entertainer, and now I am an employee at the small vintage store down the street from my apartment. Now when I say a small vintage clothing store I mean small like the employees are myself, my boss/owner of the store, and her dog Jule. The store is called The Age of Innocence, we have some pretty cool vintage clothing. It's not the most entertaining job but I'm making money and I wouldn't be doing anything else Tuesday and Thursday from 12-4.

I realize that I haven't talked about little Sophie is quite a while! You'll all be happy to know that she is doing just fine and she's still adorably small. I've also recently discovered that her one true love in life is water, her happy place is the sink.

Enjoy the rest of your day with thoughts of kittens in the sink,
Ashley

Girls Girls Girls

For those of you who haven't watched the HBO series Girls, you're out of your mind. I started watching the series after the Golden Globes, where Lena Dunham was awarded Best Actress in a Comedy Series and the show also won Best Comedy Series! Who run the world?

Another thing that I highly recommend is power yoga. Come to the class prepared to work so hard you won't be able to move the following day, but also be prepared to be entertained. My roommate Jenny and I went to power yoga on Tuesday night and we had a glorious time with a hilarious instructor. *Just so you can get a visual* this guy is a huge, ripped, black man. I don't even know if I can do this guy any justice while describing how funny he was. He did this thing where he would vocalize what we were thinking and then respond like, "AHHH I HATE YOU" "No ya don't" "YOU BASTARD, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?" "You wanna look good don't you?" He also talked a lot about Compton. At one point in the class he said, while smacking his ass, "I ONLY DEAL WITH COMPTON!!" He did this of course to tell us that he'll make sure we have big beautiful asses by the end of this!

More life recommendations by Ashley Nunes include Apple Crisp...do it. My roommate found a pretty healthy recipe for it online which we tried last night....mmmmmm. This would not be complete without a scoop of vanilla fro yo on top!

View photo.JPG in slide show

There's one more thing on my list of must do's for you...Porto's bakery/cafe. You must go there, I've never had anything there that I didn't love! Today for lunch I had a Southwest chicken salad and chi tea latte. Mmmmmm, another one of my personal favorites from there are the mashed potato balls. What's that? Well it's a meatball covered in mashed potatoes and then deep fried....like what? Heaven I tell you, simply heaven.

I must now unfortunately leave you, but I left you with quite a bit of homework. Girls, Power yoga, apple crisp, and Porto's.

Good luck,
Ashley

Delayed New Years Post

Nine days into January and I’m just now writing about the New Year. Well congrats everyone, we made it through another year! The rumors of the world ending in 2012 proved to be untrue. Whew. Now for the official New Years resolutions, first and most importantly, I shall GET FAB ACTRESS BOD. It’s happening, ladies and gents Ashley Nunes and Jenny Wise will be getting their actress bod’s this year and we will be unfairly attractive women after that.

image
We will be the girls who rock in back...

This year I will read more, I’ve begun that with Mindy Kaling’s book Is everyone hanging out without me? (And other concerns) I like it, nope, love it. I love hearing everything that she has to say about her childhood, growing up, and becoming successful. The only part of her book that concerns me is when she says, “Don’t peak in high school.” She goes on to talk about how people who were losers in high school often do well in life and people who were popular and successful in high school go on to be losers in life. That terrifies me. High school was great to me, I had wonderful friends and I was a theatre major so I got to do what I love every single day. I just hope I didn’t peak yet.

Well maybe we didn't, we were kind of weird.
I will not put a glass of water on my night stand at night because the cats will just knock it over at 7:30 every single morning. I’m switching to water bottles, this way when the knock it over I won’t care because it won’t make a mess.
I will be THE best bridal consultant that David’s Bridal in Burbank has ever seen! I love, love, love my new job. All of the women there are so nice and everyone is looking out for everyone else, it’s really sweet. It’s also  a really happy  job which is what I need in my life, more happiness. I mean who wouldn't want to have a little bit of happy crazy bride in their life everyday?
Say yes to the dress with pockets for snacks

This year I will also be dating more guys. Not so many committed relationships but just some fun dating. I’m way too safe with my love life and I think that it’s time I let go and just see what comes of it. *Also side note my roomie Jenny has these cool Russian fortune telling cards, she read mine for the new year and they said that this year I will meet the love of my life* WHAT?! That’s crazy, I wonder where he is and what he’s doing right now.
Last but not least I want to be more like Audrey Hepburn, my own version of her obviously but I want nothing more than to be as classy and beautiful as she was. Also I WILL be the actress they use when they make the movie about her life.
Happy New Year,
Ashley

We love David's Bridal!

For those of you who don't know I currently work at Gap as a Sales Associate and on the weekends I am a children's birthday party entertainer. Let me tell you, those jobs do not pay rent so I am in pursuit of another job. I went out on Saturday and gave my cover letter and resume to Hooters, David's Bridal, Porto's, Yummy Cupcakes, and this vintage clothing store on Magnolia. I felt the least confident about Hooters and David's Bridal, for obvious reasons. However those were the two places that were hiring so I filled out applications and I have a job interview with David's Bridal tomorrow!! Wish me luck!

Yesterday one of the most amazing things happened to me! My friend Danielle and I went to one of my favorite restaurants Miceli's and who else was there? Rachel McAdams...

No really, it was her!! She was accompanied by Micheal Sheen, for those of you who aren't familiar with his work, he plays the purely evil Aro in the Twilight series. So once Danielle and I realized she was there we thought of all the different ways we could casually introduce ourselves and ask for a picture. We waited until their party was leaving and we waltzed over and introduced ourselves and asked for a picture. My FAVORITE part of it all was when Danielle was like, "Oh hey Micheal Sheen could you take the picture?" He did so, but not happily. She on the other hand, was a delight! I have so much respect for her and her talents. She's taken on such a wide range of roles, from The Notebook to Mean Girls. I almost cried when she told us, "Good luck with your careers!"

Another amazing event in my life was attending the Camp Bravo Magic of a Moment benefit! Camp Bravo has been a huge part of my life for the last five years and this amazing event is a way that we can give back! The benefit raises money for campers that wouldn't be able to attend camp otherwise. In addition to the wonderful cause I got to see all of my camp friends!

The lovely Robyn and Kelsey, who made my experience this year at Bravo!

Today my TV obsession has been Cake Boss: The Next Great Baker. It's a dream of mine to one day work at or own a bakery. I love baking and because of that I've developed quite the sweet tooth! Now bringing it back to the actual show, it's fantastic! It's a bunch of talented bakers thrown in a competition to be the next great baker. The only thing that I have a hard time with is when Buddy throws away the "failed" baked goods. When I see delicious food go into the trash can all I can feel is utter shock and a lot of disappointment...

image

Never throw away perfectly good food...it's just wrong.

On that note I will now go bake a cake to prove to myself that I am my own next great baker,
Ashley

Fan Girl Moments.

It feels like it's been months since I last posted anything, well that's because it's been about a month since I have. Here's a quick life update, Sophie the kitten is slowly becoming more and more insane. Cute but insane...

Jenny and I moved into our adorable new apartment, which is decorated beautifully for the holidays.
I got the footage for the Kleenex student spec that I did, it's basically the most unattractive thing that I could possibly show you...but here it is.

Updates on my L.A. actress life...

Nick Jonas and I are meeting all around Hollywood right now. Jenny and I think it's because my mother keeps telling the universe that I should marry him, that universe it'll bring you what you wish for! Our first encounter was when I went to the Jonas' Hollywood after party with my lovely successful actress friend Meaghan Martin, most of you know her from Camp Rock and others know her from ABC Family's 10 Things I Hate About You. Well she invited me to go to the after party with her last Thursday night after the guys performed at the Pantages. Now something you have to understand is that I was 13 when the Jonas Brothers were big, when I was packing up my clothes to move to L.A. I found a Mrs. Future Jonas shirt. So naturally when Meaghan asked I instantly turned 13 again...
See what I did there...threw some Christmas on that.

As I've grown out of my boy band phase I've grown right into my wedding/marriage show obsession. Say Yes to the Dress, My Fair wedding, Four Weddings, and dont' forget Married to Jonas. So instead of 13 year old Ashley who would've been tickled to meet the brothers, we're now dealing with 18 year old Ashley who is simply starstruck meeting Danielle Jonas.
Vera Wang people...Vera Wang custom made her dress!
*Swoon*

So the party was great and the boys were all super nice, not as nice as Danielle though, she's a sweetheart! My second run in with Nick Jonas was last night while I was working as audience on the X Factor. The show is taped and aired live so when we're on commercial break everyone just chills. Well during one of the breaks while we were chillin some girls behind me started screaming, I recognized this scream. This was a die hard boy band fan scream, I heard this kind of scream in 2008 when my sister's and I went to the Jonas Brothers concert in Vegas. Boy was I right, I looked up and there was Nick Jonas, he went up to the judges table to say hi to Demi. I couldn't help but giggle thinking about how we shook hands a week ago. That's the last of my Nick Jonas run ins for now but we'll see, it's a small world we live in.

Yes people I was that close to Britney Spears

I was even closer to her when she was exiting, she also looked at me and waved. I could have easily stuck out my hand to touch her, that is if I wanted to be escorted out of the building by six different security guards. Before 13 year old Ashley was obsessed with the Jonas brothers, 8 year old Ashley was idolizing this Princess of Pop. Here's a little secret, on the other side of my Audrey Hepburn poster currently hanging in my room is my Britney poster from her concert, which was my first concert ever! Anyone remember this?

As you can see this blog entry is dedicated to the fan girl that lives in all of us. Before I go, I would like to give my last fan girl shout out to Mindy Kaling. For those of you who don't know her she's currently staring on the Fox hit The Mindy Project, which she also writes! She's written a book as well, "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me," which I have every intention of reading. Tune in on Tuesday for a bit of this...

Hope you enjoyed it,
Ashley

Weekend up and baking gif advice

As you all know I just spent my weekend in Las Vegas with my family! The weekend was over in the blink of an eye, I was busy almost every minute this weekend! Right when I arrived I dropped off little Sophie, got her situated and then went right to the Breaking Dawn premiere with my mother, sisters, and my sister's best friend Taylor. Talk about getting your mind blown with a twist, geez! You bet the entire theatre had something to say about it...

I not only saw Breaking Dawn once this weekend but twice, compliments of my friend Bailey who had an extra ticket for me on Friday night! Also this weekend my sister and I did a charity walk for Safe House! Safe House is a shelter for abused women and children, I've been working on different programs with them since I was in 5th grade!

The last official Vegas thing we did was take our Nunes family Christmas pictures. Now every single year before we take pictures someone cries, EVERY YEAR! So this year we were doing just fine until the car ride to Portrait Innovations. All morning my mom had been telling my little brother AJ to brush his teeth. While we're in the car my sister Ana, who was sitting next to AJ, said, "Ew your breath stinks!!" Then my mother calmly asked, "Aj did you brush your teeth?" He answered very slowly, "No, I forgot." My mother then just exploded, "ANTONIO NUNES, I ASKED YOU A MILLION TIMES THIS MORNING TO BRUSH YOUR TEETH!! Fine no computer time for you today." Then he burst into tears about 15 minutes before our appointment for pictures. Classic Nunes family moment. One year my mother sent out a picture with my sister crying...that was a great year. Once we got to Portrait Innovations AJ pulled it together, here's a sneak peak of what you should expect from this years photos!

Now let's talk about the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday...BEST DAY EVER!! Thanksgiving would be my favorite holiday if we didn't eat the same dinner on Christmas, plus open presents, plus my mom's birthday is on Christmas day. This year for Thanksgiving my family is coming to eat with me in my apartment! I'm only 18 and already hosting Thanksgiving geesh! Aside from the food one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving is the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade. Broadway performances, the Rockettes, and so many huge balloon characters, how could you not love it?! Well I hope that you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving, spend lots of time with your family, and eat until you can't eat anymore!!

Some tips about baking for this holiday season, remember that this is not how you properly fold eggs into your batter...

Happy Thanksgiving,

Another day in the life...

This is the second time I'm writing a post in one week, crazy town I know. Well let me tell you that I have quite the day ahead of me. Today I'm meeting with the ladies at Maven Talent to discuss the possibility of them representing me as my manager, or managers, I'm not entirely sure how that works. I'm so lucky have only be in LA for two months and already have a meeting with a manager! Hopefully it all goes well and they can help me book some big commercial work! I'd prefer a Garnier commercial...I mean my everyday hair flip is as good as Ariel's.

image

After my meeting with them I'm headed home to Vegas for the weekend! My first official act of the weekend will be attending the 10pm premiere of Breaking Dawn with my sisters and my mom. My sister's are both HUGE Twilight fans and my mother just goes along because she enjoys the fact that something in this world brings my sisters together in silent peace for two to three hours. After that my weekend will be filled with visiting friends, seeing a show at my high school, and of course spending time with the family. Home sweet home...

This morning my roommate and I met with the landlord for the new apartment that we're getting, it was glorious. She's so organized and easy to work with; unlike our current landlord who still doesn't know that I live here, or that we have a cat...not to mention the fact that we have two. So with that being said, the other day when I was home alone with the cats this woman knocked on the door. Being the kind person I am I answered thinking maybe she was a neighbor that needed help with something or whatever...NOPE. She said she was the manager.
image

As she introduced herself to me little princess Sophie ran right out the door, I grabbed her just in time so she wouldn't escape but was certainly seen by the manager. She asked if she could show our apartment to some people RIGHT NOW and I panicked and said, "yeahijustneedtoooummmcouldyouwaitlikkwelllll," very articulate I know. She said, "Oh we can give you a few minutes or whatever you need." "YESPERFECTTHANKYOU," I kind of screamed. Door slam. See at any other time I would've showed them no problem, however all of my stuff is in my room and the cats and the disposal is broken and no just no. So I called Jenny and after we formulated a plan to hide the cats in the closet and throw all my belongings out the window we decided just to tell her that I couldn't show the place...to just say no. That went over surprisingly well, she said it was totally fine and that she knew it was short notice. *This is why you shouldn't withhold information from people, I don't say lie because we aren't lying...just withholding information.

Well I'm off to my meeting but before I leave you I want to show you a special video. If you aren't inspired by the holiday season yet then this will certainly get you there! Enjoy!

That's all for now,
Ashley
