We love David's Bridal!

For those of you who don't know I currently work at Gap as a Sales Associate and on the weekends I am a children's birthday party entertainer. Let me tell you, those jobs do not pay rent so I am in pursuit of another job. I went out on Saturday and gave my cover letter and resume to Hooters, David's Bridal, Porto's, Yummy Cupcakes, and this vintage clothing store on Magnolia. I felt the least confident about Hooters and David's Bridal, for obvious reasons. However those were the two places that were hiring so I filled out applications and I have a job interview with David's Bridal tomorrow!! Wish me luck!

Yesterday one of the most amazing things happened to me! My friend Danielle and I went to one of my favorite restaurants Miceli's and who else was there? Rachel McAdams...

No really, it was her!! She was accompanied by Micheal Sheen, for those of you who aren't familiar with his work, he plays the purely evil Aro in the Twilight series. So once Danielle and I realized she was there we thought of all the different ways we could casually introduce ourselves and ask for a picture. We waited until their party was leaving and we waltzed over and introduced ourselves and asked for a picture. My FAVORITE part of it all was when Danielle was like, "Oh hey Micheal Sheen could you take the picture?" He did so, but not happily. She on the other hand, was a delight! I have so much respect for her and her talents. She's taken on such a wide range of roles, from The Notebook to Mean Girls. I almost cried when she told us, "Good luck with your careers!"

Another amazing event in my life was attending the Camp Bravo Magic of a Moment benefit! Camp Bravo has been a huge part of my life for the last five years and this amazing event is a way that we can give back! The benefit raises money for campers that wouldn't be able to attend camp otherwise. In addition to the wonderful cause I got to see all of my camp friends!

The lovely Robyn and Kelsey, who made my experience this year at Bravo!

Today my TV obsession has been Cake Boss: The Next Great Baker. It's a dream of mine to one day work at or own a bakery. I love baking and because of that I've developed quite the sweet tooth! Now bringing it back to the actual show, it's fantastic! It's a bunch of talented bakers thrown in a competition to be the next great baker. The only thing that I have a hard time with is when Buddy throws away the "failed" baked goods. When I see delicious food go into the trash can all I can feel is utter shock and a lot of disappointment...

Never throw away perfectly good food...it's just wrong.

On that note I will now go bake a cake to prove to myself that I am my own next great baker,
Ashley
